Privacy notice

This notice explains what information Yojo Notes handles when you read the site or write to us. We try to collect as little as possible.

Reading the site

You can read every page without an account. We do not run advertising, analytics or tracking scripts, and we do not use social media plug-ins that follow you between sites.

Like every web server, ours briefly records technical details of each request (the address requested, the time, your IP address and browser type) so the site can run and be protected against abuse. These server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted. Our hosting and content delivery providers process this data on our behalf to deliver the pages.

Writing to us

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, the email address you give, the subject and your message. We use them only to read and answer your letter. Letters are kept for up to two years and then deleted, unless the conversation is still going on. We never sell or share them, and we never add you to a mailing list.

Please do not send us medical records or detailed health information. We cannot advise on individual cases, and we would rather not hold that kind of data.

Cookies

The public site does not set cookies for tracking. See the cookie policy for the one technical cookie used by our editors' sign-in page.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information or the EU and UK GDPR), you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. Write to us through the contact page and we will answer within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this notice, we will update the date at the bottom of the page.
